Is the son of George and Vita Caravias… siblings are Steph, Monica and Julia… Julia is a junior on the MIT varsity women’s volleyball team.

Extracurriculars at Bucknell:

Researcher in the Digital Humanities department working on natural language processing models for social media analysis.

Personal interests:

Hiking, kayaking, reading, swimming in the Michigan’s many lakes, reminiscing good times in Orlando training trips with Ryan Wang and Matt “Fat Lat” LaRouche.

Racing history while at Bucknell:

Sophomore year (2019-2020)

  • Sat stroke seat of the 2V before the season suspended due to COVID
  • Stroke seat in the 2V that finished 2nd at the head of the Genessee
  • Raced in the 2022 class pair

Freshman year (2018):

  • Stroke seat of the the 3V that finished 2nd at ACRA Nationals
  • Stroke seat of the 3V that finished 6th at Dad Vails
  • Stroke seat of the class of 2022 freshman 8+ in the fall

Athletic history outside of Bucknell:

Won the lightweight 2x at the 2019 Independence Day Regatta. Finished 4th at Club Nationals in the lightweight 2x.

Rowed for Detroit Boat Club prior to Bucknell. Senior year served as the men’s team captain and sat in the stroke seat of the Varsity 8+. Won multiple medals at Midwest Junior regionals including a 1st place finish in the lightweight 2x that went on to race at Youth Nationals. Prior to rowing, played basketball and football.
