Bio

Jake began his rowing career at the age of 16 as a freshman in high school. After spending his first two spring seasons with his high school team, “Clarkstown Crew”, he moved on to a private sculling program, “Rockland Rowing Association”, based out of Nyack, New York. He was elected captain of the Rockland Rowing Men’s Team in the fall of 2018

Prior to attending Bucknell, Jake competed in the June 2018 USRowing Youth National Championships in the Men’s Double and the Men’s Quad and won silver at the Fall 2018 Head of the Hudson regatta in the junior single sculls.

During the fall of 2019, Jake had to honor of representing Bucknell at the 55th Head of the Charles regatta in Boston, Massachusetts in the Men’s 4+. He won silver in the Men’s 2V 8+ at the Head of the Genesee and gold in the Freshman 8+ at the Nittany Lion Chase.

In the classroom, Jake is a Biomedical engineering major with a pre-med track as well as a computer science minor. He is also involved with e-NABLE, a club at Bucknell that uses 3D printing technology to manufacture prosthetic limb replacements for child amputees.

Outside of the classroom, Jake is an avid outdoors enthusiast. He enjoys camping and hiking on his school breaks, vacations and weekends. He also enjoys using the 3D printers at the campus makerspaces during his free time.
