The Bucknell Crew Association (BCA) includes alumni and friends of Bucknell Men's Crew and is aimed at supporting the team's growth and success through financial contributions and attendance at regattas and other team events.

As the Bucknell Men's Crew team's celebrates its 25th anniversary, we look back on a past filled with dedicated rowers and coaches, we revel in the excitement of our current strong and successful team (team website and racing schedule), and we look forward to a bright future ahead.

On behalf of all current and former rowers, the BCA thanks all contributors to the team for their generosity and support without which the team's success and optimism would not be possible.

Save October 4th, 2008 for Bucknell Crew!

25 years after our founding in 1982, we will be celebrating the men’s and women’s programs in Lewisburg this fall. All alumni are invited to return to Lewisburg for the 25th year anniversary celebration which will include socializing, dining, maybe some golfing, and of course rowing. More details forthcoming.

Spring 2008 Racing Schedule

The men's crew team will be concentrating their races in Pennsylvania and New Jersey this spring. All alumni in the area are invited to attend the races and watch the men's and women's team defend their Murphy Cup Team Title and the reigning Freshmen Heavyweight 8 champions return to the Dad Vail Regatta. Other races include home competitions, the Patriot League championship, and the Kerr Cup where the men will compete with Colonial Athletic Conference schools. Members of the BCA will be at each of the races cheering our men on.

BCA Summer 2007 Executive Meeting

BCA members participated in a quarterly conference call on July 11th to summarize the '07-'08 season's fundraising campaign and to begin planning for the '08-'09 fundraising campaign. Head Coach Paul Bugenhagen shared his thoughts on the '06-'07 season and his vision for the '07-'08 racing season with BCA members.

'07-'08 Season Fundraising Summary

Fundraising for the team's '07-'08 racing season concluded on June 30th 2007 with solid success. The fundraising goal for the '07-'08 was set at $150,000. Through discussions between the BCA and Coach Bugenhagen this was determined to be the minimum amount required to achieve baseline growth of the team. The target amount for extended growth in '07-'08 and beyond was determined to be $180,000. Together, supporters of the team raised a total of $149,381 through alumni donations, parent donations for team travel, money raised by the rowers through rent-a-rower and dues, and $30,000 pledged to fund the Assistant Coach position for the first year.
